Receiving broken merchandise:

If you recieve a box that has obviously been damaged in transit, refuse the package. 

For concealed damage, you have 48 hours from the time of delivery to make claims regarding breakage. Please contact us immediately via e-mail at info@ahintofvanilla.com that your items are damaged. We will need the following information included in the e-mail:

    • name on 'ship to' address, if different from who placed the order
    • the order number from the invoice
    • the insurance tracking number found to the right of the address label
    • what was damaged

    Returning merchandise:

    • We will accept returns within 10 days of receipt. The merchandise must be in resalable condition:
      • candles may be opened to see if the scent pleases you, but will not be accepted if burned
      • a diffuser bottle may be opened to see if the scent pleases you, but will not be accepted if the plug is missing from the bottle or if the rattan reeds have been used.
      • All items must be returned in its original packaging.
    • To receive store credit, the merchandise must be in resalable condition and accompanied with a copy of the invoice.
    • The customer will pay for the return shipping.
    • Original shipping and handling charges are not credited.
    • A return authorization number MUST BE MARKED on the returned package. E-mail us at info@ahintofvanilla for a heads up to look for your return.
    • Any returns made without authorization will incur a 75% restocking fee.
    • After the items are returned & inspected for resalability, you will be notified of the amount of your refund. Our accountant is in house on the 20th of each month.

    Receiving incorrect merchandise:


    If part of your order was pulled and shipped in error, the correct item will be sent out promptly. Please send an e-mail to info@ahintofvanilla.com stating:

    • name on 'ship to' address, if different from who placed the order
    • the order number from the invoice
    • what item is missing from the order
    • what item was mistakenly sent
