The 33-year-old former world No.1 reached the quarterfinals, which looked encouraging, but then fell to Hong Kong's Lee Cheuk Yiu 16-21, 16-21. That was his third straight loss to Lee, and the gap in level is widening. Srikanth, now ranked No.34, no longer threatens the elite.
